What is 5×1000?
The 5×1000 is a portion of your income tax paid to the Italian State that you can choose to allocate to non-profit organizations. It costs you nothing extra — it’s simply a way to direct part of your taxes toward socially relevant causes.
Why allocate your 5×1000 to the Machiavelli Foundation
The Machiavelli Foundation is a non-profit that relies on voluntary support. If you’re paying income tax to the Italian State, the 5×1000 is an easy, cost-free way to help us fund our initiatives.
How to allocate your 5×1000 to the Machiavelli Foundation
If you’re filing an Italian tax return, go to the section “Scelta per la destinazione del cinque per mille dell’IRPEF”, sign in the first box (“Sostegno del volontariato e delle altre organizzazioni non lucrative di utilità sociale ecc.”), and enter our tax code: 94280910483.
Not required to file an Italian tax return?
Even if you don’t file a return but still pay income tax to the Italian State, you can allocate your 5×1000. Complete the dedicated form included with your Certificazione Unica, Model 730, or Model Redditi PF, and submit it by November 30 to a post office (free), a CAF, an accountant, or online via the Italian Revenue Agency’s portal. On the envelope, write: “Scheda per le scelte della destinazione del cinque per mille dell’IRPEF”, along with your full name and tax code.

The Machiavelli Foundation is a non-profit, third-sector entity (ETS) inspired by patriotism and traditional values. Through research, information, and education, it promotes citizens’ participation in politics and public affairs.
Becoming a “Supporting Member” means joining this project, supporting it, and helping guide its actions toward the areas you consider most important.

How to become a member
Any adult can apply to become a “Supporting Member”. The annual membership fee is €100. If you would like to join the Machiavelli Foundation, fill in the fields below:

In particular, we are looking for scholars and analysts to produce research, reports, and policy papers.
We welcome proposals and spontaneous applications.
N.B.: reports and papers are compensated. At present, other contributions (shorter commentary or articles) are not remunerated.
